Hattie married Frank Martin on 2 May 1897 in Eden Twp., Mason Co., Michigan. Hattie and Frank had a daughter named Lettie who was born some time in 1898. Hattie and Lettie both contracted typhoid fever at about the same time and died from it. Hattie's death record reports that she was buried in Eden Cemetery, which is the name many in the area use when referring to Lakeside Cemetery.
