She graduated high school and attended Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) in pursuit of a nursing degree. Ashley became a certified medical technician and spent her working years caring lovingly for countless patients at Sharpe Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Whispering Oaks Nursing Home, San Luis Med and Rehab, REM of Wisconsin, and Woodlands of Oconto.
In 2015, Ashley was diagnosed with both IGA Vasculitis and Henoch-Schonlein Purpura (HSP), a disease rarely diagnosed in adults. She spent the next five years bravely bearing the burdens of her medical condition, always seeking to maintain a positive mindset, challenging her doctors to find a cure, and relying on her faith in God.
Those who knew her best will remember Ashley’s love of fun. She enjoyed karaoke, water recreation of any kind, and Zumba.
Ashley was a gifted artist and spent much of her spare time painting with her mom. To the world, Ashley gave of her heart and herself. She loved fiercely and put others needs above her own. Her smile and interest in exploring the world around her will continue to inspire all those whom she encountered.
