Amelia Vonfeldt, 90, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Salina Regional Health Center. She was born Aug. 28, 1910, in Victoria to Michael J. and Anna (Lang) Pfeifer.
She married Wendelin A. Vonfeldt on May 19, 1930, in Victoria. He died Aug. 2, 1998.
She was a sales clerk for dress shops in Hays for 25 years. She was a homemaker and lived in Hays since 1962, coming from Gorham. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Gorham Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include three brothers, Daniel Pfeifer and Aloysius Pfeifer, both of Hays, and Simon Pfeifer, Wichita; a sister, Ann O'Brien, Huntsville, Texas; a grandson; and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lavern, and three brothers, Emmanuel Pfeifer, Albert Pfeifer, and Bernard Pfeifer.
