Billy G. Bennett Sr., 71, of Falmouth, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood. He was retired from Prudential Life Insurance, retired owner of Bennett's Personal Care, Bennett's Non-Emergency Medical Transportation, and Bennett's Clubhouse Adult Daycare Center, a Marine veteran of the Korean War, member of Fairview Christian Church, Williamstown, former volunteer and EMT with the Elsmere Fire Department, and former advisor for the Elsmere Boy Scouts.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Bennett; sons, Billy Bennett Jr. of Hebron and Kelly Bennett of Burlington; a daughter, Loriann Stanbury of Florence; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Fairview Christian Church, Williamstown. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Fellowship of Believers, Florence, and beginning at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be in the Bennett Family Cemetery, Pendleton County. Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth, is handling the arrangements.

Billy G. Bennett Sr., 71, Falmouth, Ky passed away July 26, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit. Billy was born in Williamstown, Ky on October 27, 1935 to the late Dillon and Anna Viola Conrad Bennett. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, serving in the Korean War, a member of the Fairview Christian Church, owner of: Bennetts Personal Care, Bennetts Non-Emergency Medical Transportation, and Bennetts Clubhouse Adult Daycare Center. He was also a retired employee of Prudential Life Ins where he worked for over 20 years. Mr. Bennett was a former Elsmere volunteer fireman and E.M.T and a former advisor for Elsmere Boy Scout Troops.

Billy is preceded in death by his brother Norman Happerton.

Survivors include: wife, Rhonda Bennett, Falmouth; sons, Billy (Cathy) Bennett Jr., Hebron, Kelly (Celeste) Bennett, Burlington; daughter Loriann (Ken) Stanbury, Florence; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great granddaughters.

Visitation and funeral services were held July 29, 2007 at Fairview Christian Church in Williamstown, Ky.

Interment will take place at the Bennett Family Cemetery in Pendleton County.

American Legion Post 109 and V.F.W. Post 1978 and D.A.V. Post members held full military services for Mr. Bill G. Bennett Sr. at the Bennett Family Cemetery on July 29, 2007.

Mr. Bennett served in the United States Marines in the Korean War.

Joshua Sherman, Sgt. Anthony Davis, Cpl. Keith Dimanld and Cpl. Dominick Cordelli.

Taps was played by Sam Hodge. Another veteran was laid to rest.
