Catherine Bellendir, 78, died Monday, May 28 at Canterbury Villa. She was born Jan. 14, 1901 in Victoria, the daughter of John P. and Susanna (Lang) Brungardt.

She married Adam Bellinder, who died Oct. 9, 1965. She was a third order member of the Christian Mothers.

Survivors; three daughters, Mrs. Andrew J. (Miriam) Wasinger of Victoria, Mrs. Edwin (Rita) Scheck of Russell, and Mrs. Roy (Bernadette) Baier of LaCrosse; three sons, Raphael of Topeka, Vernon of Great Bend, and Marvin of Victoria; two brothers, Benedict J. Brungardt, and Alvin J. Brungardt, both of Hays; two sisters, Mrs. Tony (Susie) Kinderknecht of Park, and Mrs. Emmett (Tillie) Speere of Russell; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
