He had his biggest success in pictures during the 1950s and 60s, with roles in "Winchester '73" (1950), "The Lemon Drop Kid" (1952)," The Wild One" (1953), "Oklahoma!" (1955), "Cat Ballou"(1965) and "Hellfighters" (1968). For television his credits include "Route 66", "The Untouchables", "Ensign O'Toole", "Burke's Law", "The Virginian" and many more. He died at age 71 in Los Angeles, California.
