Mary Lucille McGaugh, 83, Excelsior Springs, MO, (formerly of Rayville, MO), died at 5:35 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 1998, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Crowley Cemetery, Rayville. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Friday, May 29, at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Mrs. McGaugh was born July 14, 1914, in Ray County, MO, to James Clayton & Barbara Emaline (Griffey) Basham. She was first married to Everett V. McNew, who was of Cowgill, MO, and he preceded her in death. She later married Clarence ''Doc'' McGaugh, who was of Rayville, MO, on September 12, 1942, and he pre- ceded her in death on August 30, 1996. Survivors include a son, Jim McGaugh, Excelsior Springs, MO; a brother, Robert Basham, Kansas City, MO; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents & husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Junior V. McNew; and 5 brothers, Forrest Basham, Floyd Basham, Dewey Basham, Clarence Basham & Raymond Basham. Mrs. McGaugh was a member of the Rayville Christian Union Church. She lived in Rayville most of her life before moving to Excelsior Springs eight years ago. (Arr: Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO)
