A native of Hawkinsville, she was born Nov. 5, 1879, a daughter of James and Lura Chase Allum.
She was twice married. Her first husband was Burton E. Hawkes to whom she was married Sept. 23, 1908 in Boonville. He died in 1909.
On March 12, 1913 she was married to John J. Korber at the
Boonville Methodist Church. Mr. Korber died Sept, 24, 1941.
Surviving are a son, Karl J. Korber, Boonville; a grandson,
Jon K. Korber, Boonville; two nephews, Ervin Lake and Albert Andrews, Boonville; also several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Burial will be in Boonville Cemetery in the Spring.
