June 4. Mrs. Emma Schulz, 46, died last night in the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Robison, after an illness of more than a year. She was born in Germany and at the age of 13 came to America with her parents, settling in South Dakota. She came to Reardan in 1929 and with her husband operated the Sunset café. Mrs. Schulz is survived by her widower, George; one son, Ellsworth, of Pullman; four daughters, Louise, of Neppel; Mrs. Everett Kelso, and Mrs. Robison, Reardan; two sisters, Minnie Adams Erdman, Ralph, S.D.; Mrs. George Gerrish, Puyallup; four brothers, Gustav Adams, Valley City, N.D.; August Adams , Puyallup; Edward Adams, Irrigon, Ore., and Emil Adams, Reardan. The funeral will be held in the Lutheran church Monday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. A.R.M. Kettner of Tacoma officiating. Burial will be in the Reardan cemetery. [Spokesman Review; 6.5.1938]
