Paul Bailey, age 39, of Higden, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007, at his home of brain cancer.Born in Conway, Arkansas, on April 5, 1968, he was the son of Richard E. and Linda Sue (Johnson) Bailey.

Paul was employed as a marina maintenance worker. A lifetime resident of Van Buren and Cleburne Counties, he was an avid fisherman and hunter, a member of Bass Anglers Federation, and he loved flying. Paul had previously served as a volunteer for the Greers Ferry Fire Department. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Quitman.

Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth and Albert Johnson, and Emmit Bailey.

He is survived by his wife, Ami Elizabeth (Tullos) Bailey of Higden; two sons, Richard Evan Bailey and Ethan Paul Bailey of Higden; one daughter, Eden Leighann Bailey of Higden; his parents, Richard E. and Linda Sue Bailey of Fairfield Bay; two brothers, Victor Bryan Bailey of Greers Ferry and James Patrick Bailey of Shirley; one sister, Lisa Melinda Gray of Shirley; his grandmother, Thelma B. Bailey of Greers Ferry; his nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins. Paul is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 30, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 1, at 2:00 p.m. in the West Side Baptist Church with Rev. Van Harness and Rev. Fred Oaks officiating. Interment will follow in the Davis Special Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Passmore, Carey McIllwain, Tommy Lacotts, Mickey Reynolds, Bubba Kirkland, and Mark Oaks. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Mathis, Tim Marshall, Jr., Greg Gilmore, and Paul Oaks. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. www.olmstead.cc
