SPENCER - William E. Talbot, 74, of 86 Cherry St., a longtime landscape gardener, died Saturday in Memorial Hospital, Worcester, after a short illness.

He leave is wife of 52 year, Barbara (Hurd) Talbot, three daughters, Joanne Perron of Homosassa, Fla., Sandra Talbot of Ridgefield, Wash. and Luanne Tucker of Oakfield, Maine; a brother George R. Talbot of El Paso, Texas, a grandson, two nephews, and a niece. He was born in Spencer, son of Edward J. and Ethel B.(Swallow) talbot.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Gaudette-Kirk Post 138, American Legion.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m.,, June 15 in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
