Willis Orkney Beatty was born on January 24 1877 in Johnson County, Nebraska, the son of Alvin Perry Beatty and Zerrildia Narciss 'Atteberry' Beatty. Sometime in 1900 he married Mary Lulu John . She was born February 20, 1880 in Davis County, Iowa. This union produced 2 children; Robert O. and Cleo Orville Beatty.

In 1905, Willis and his wife Mary Lulu, owned and operated the W.O. Beatty Drug Company in Nardin, Kay County, OT

According to the information in his WWI draft registraton card, Willis Orkney Beatty was living at 2219 W. 11th St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in September, 1918. He was married to Mary Lulu Beatty. His occupation was "Joinery" and he was of medium height and build, with brown eyes, and brown hair.

Willis died in Los Angeles, California, on July 20, 1948, and his wife Mary Lulu died on September 14, 1949 in Los Angeles.
