Arazonia "Zona" was born in Indian Territory Nov. 1891. She is the eighth child born to William N. and Sarah Evelyn Wooldridge Blankenship. The Blankenship family traveled by covered wagon, from Jamestown,Russell County, Kentucky to Texas. After a couple of years in Texas, the family set off to hopefully find better conditions in Indian Territory (OK). When she was about four years old, Zonie's father died from complications of typhoid fever in 1896 and was buried in IT (now Eufaula, OK). The widow and her children would then move on to the Wagoner area. Zonie's older brother Roscoe worked as a farm laborer, to help support his mother, younger sisters and baby brother.
Siblings: Tilden, Mary B."Lennie", Elizabeth "Lizzie", Roscoe Owen, Mollie Taylor and William B.(Willie).
Zonie married Claude Earle Hudlin Feb. 19, 1910 in Wagoner, OK. Zonie was blessed with a baby son, March 25, 1911, named Ira W. Hudlin. Ira was known as "Ivy" by the family. About three years after the birth of Ivy, tragedy would strike the Hudlin family. Zonie died in 1914, at the age of twenty three.
The 1920 Census of Mayes County, Ok listed Ivy Hudlin (cousin) living with Eddie and Nettie Blankenship. The 1930 census of Wagoner, OK listed Ira W. as a 17 year old grandson, living with Ada B. Hudlin.
Sadly, in 1947, tragedy once again struck Zona's young Ivy Hudlin. He died in New York at the age of 36, leaving his wife Rita M. a widow.
