A memorial service for Robert "Bob" A. Ridley, 58, Benson, Arizona, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Baldwin. Cremation is planned. Inurnment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Pittsburg.

Mr. Ridley died January 13 in Benson, Arizona. He had a lung ailment.

He was born May 24, 1931, in Mulberry. He was graduated from high school in Hamilton, Missouri, in 1949.

Mr. Ridley served in the U.S. Air Force in the occupational forces in Europe from 1951 to 1953.

He graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Master's Degree in Business in 1957. He began working for Baker University in 1957 and served there for 23 years, retiring as treasurer in 1980. He was awarded the distinction of treasurer emeritus from the university.

Mr. Ridley was a member of Palmyra Lodge No. 23 AF&AM and Evangeline Chapter No. 162 Order of Eastern Star in Baldwin. He held the offices of worthy patron, worshipful master, guard and teller. He was also a member of Lloyd Beaton American Legion Post No. 228.

He married Gerry Yeokum on January 14, 1956. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, a son, his mother, Louise Ridley, Pittsburg; a sister, Nan Shepherd, Pittsburg; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service also was held January 16 at Community Presbyterian Church in Benson, Arizona.

The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church, Baldwin, or the American Lung Association.
