Aunt Zelia was the Daughter of William Virgil and Clara Gertrude Evenson Hamby.

She was the Sister to Rev. Chester Benjamin Hamby, Leta May, Violet and Emma Louise Hamby.

Aunt Zelia lost her Mother when she was two years old and within a year of her Moms death her Papa decided they were not staying where it was so cold and he could possibly loose more of his little family to the cold.

She traveled a great deal over the next couple of years. The family settled for good in Scottsdale, Arizona when she was about seven years old.

She attended school in Scottsdale when it was possible and she met her future husband at a social.

Aunt Zelia married Harold Passey on September 19, 1933 over in Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona.

She was the Mother of Bertha Arlene, Delight, Zelia Ione, Linda Joy, Helen Joyce and Jana Lin Passey.

On August 19, 1977 she married Ray Schwartz in Cardston, Canada.

Aunt Zelia and Uncle Ray had fourteen wonderful years together. They lived back in Idaho for the most part and traveled to Arizona to see the girls and their families and oh so many Grandchildren.

Aunt Zelia is the one person I can say got me into finding out about my Ancestors, she was a very dedicated Genealogist. She was always willing to answer my oh so many questions. She was a very gentle soul and never had a hard word for anyone. She was loved by all who knew her and she is missed daily. We will see her again.
