Louis was the son of Ovie Michael Mulkey and Elizabeth Ann Kornahrens Mulkey of Summerville.
He was a graduate of Summerville High School, Class of 1991 and attended Newberry College and USC. Louis was a Sertoma Football and Basketball Coach with Summerville High School and a firefighter with City of Charleston Fire Department. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Surviving, in addition to his dear and loving wife, Lauren Bennett Mulkey, and loving parents are, one brother, Wayne Mulkey of Navarre, FL; two nieces, Kathryn Danielle Mulkey and Kayla Elizabeth Mulkey both of Navarre, FL; mother and father-in-law, Karen and Michael Bennett of Gaithersburg, MD; grandmother, Elizabeth Kornahrens of Mt. Pleasant and numerous cousins. Louis also leaves to cherish his memories a vast number of loving friends, students and co-workers.
