Edna Murphy, 91, of Webster City, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the Southfield Wellness Community. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. Scott Boone officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with recitation of the rosary to begin at 5:45 p.m. and the scripture service to follow at 6:00 p.m.

Edna Murphy, daughter of Francis and Mary Brady Murphy was born on July 6, 1915 on a farm Northwest of Williams. She received her education from the Chapman School north of Blairsburg. Edna's main vocation was as a homemaker. She had been residing at the Southfield Wellness Community since January of 2006.

Edna is survived by her nephews, Pat Cormaney of Webster City, Gary Cormaney of Blairsburg, Francis Murphy of Missouri and Paul Goins of Carroll; nieces, Mary Weisberg of Woolstock, Louisa Perry of Bondurant and many great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur, Harry, John and Francis J. Murphy; sisters, Deloris Cormaney, Mae Goins, Katherine Butler; and nephews, James Butler and Jerry Goins.

Edna was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City.
