Felix Alver Collard was born 20 July 1810 in Christian County, KY., and came to Oregon by wagon train from Illinois about 1847.
He helped organize the First Baptist Church of Oregon City, took up a Donation Land Claim south of present-day Lake Oswego.

JOHN COLLARD, fourth son of Joseph of the Revolution, married Lydia Cannon,
daughter of James of the Revolution, in Kentucky, in 1809. They had four
children, all born in Christian county, Kentucky, namely, Felix Alver, Isaphena,
Rachel and John J. Collard. The first of these, Felix Alver Collard, so well
known in the pioneer history of Pleasant Hill township, was born in Christian
county, Kentucky, July 20, 1810.
I am a descendant of Felix Collard's sister Isaphena. I notice that Felix had a
daughter named Isaphena after his sister. My great grandmother was also named
Isaphena after her grandmother Isaphena Collard.
