Herman F. Adams, age 83, of the Homme Home for the Aging, Wittenberg, died Thursday, June 18, 1987 at the nursing home. He was born Dec. 31, 1903 in the Town of Aniwa, the son of the late Reinhold and Franceska Adams.
He was married Oct. 5, 1935 in Wittenberg to Irma Wendt. She died Feb. 23, 1985.
Mr. Adams farmed in the Town of Morris, and semi-retired in 1968. He has been at the nursing home for the past year.
Survivors include three sons, Arlon of Tigerton, Edward of Rosholt, and Dale of Wittenberg; three daughters, Beverly (Mrs. Glenn) Alfheim of Wittenberg, Darlene (Mrs. Milton) Matson of Berlin, and Marilyn (Mrs. Norman) Steinke of Woodbury, Minn.; two brothers, Otto of the Homme Home, Wittenberg, and Fred of Joliet, Ill.; three sisters, Gertie (Mrs. Carl) Routzahn of Shawano, Helen Kratzke of Clintonville, and Frieda Terry of Minneapolis, Minn,; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Services will be on Sunday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wittenberg, with the Rev. Randolf Blech officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday after 4 p.m. at the Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a prayer service Saturday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
