Mr. Thomas Kenneth "Ken" Bowen, Jr., 43, passed away early Sunday afternoon, June 10, 2007, at the Satilla Regional Medical Center (Waycross, Ware Co, GA).
A native of Pierce County, he had lived in Atlanta for several years but had spent most of his life in Pierce County. Mr. Bowen was a fork lift operator for Dart Container Corporation until his health forced him to retire.
Survivors are two daughters, Jessica Deeter and Mitzi Bowen both of Blackshear; a son, Thomas Kenneth "Kenny" Bowen, III of Blackshear; his mother, Peggy Tapia of Waycross; his father and step-mother, Tommy & Lois Bowen of Lithonia; a sister and brother-n-law, Gina & Mike Conkle of Conyers; a brother and sister-n-law, Timothy Scott & Kasandra Bowen of Covington; his paternal grandparents, Jack & Mae Bowen of Blackshear; his maternal grandmother, Mary Darden of Waycross; 2 grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Bowen will be held Tuesday morning, June 12, 2007, at 10 o'clock from the Pearson-Treadwell Chapel.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
Visitation for Mr. Bowen will be held Monday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
