Dave Heaton arrived to greet the world on June 8, 1979 in Wells, MN, to his parents, Christopher and Kathy Heaton. Dave grew up on the family farm with his parents and grandparents, Wayne and Phyllis Miller in Vivian Township in Waseca County. As an only child, Dave spent most of his time with his best friend Nik Proehl, whom he considered a "brother." From a very early age, he enjoyed reading, listening to a variety of music, and traveling. He especially enjoyed trips to visit family in South Carolina. Over the years, he gained many close and lasting friends. To him, family and friends meant everything!

Dave enjoyed Knowledge Bowl, science fairs, and speech competitions during his high school career. He became an Eagle Scout in 1995 and graduated from Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton High School in 1997. He attended Minnesota State University Mankato and currently worked at the Regional Treatment Center in St. Peter.

Dave married the love of his life, Celia "Woo" Eckert, on February 3, 2007 at Centenary United Methodist Church, Mankato. His new family included stepson Dylan, age 4, stepdaughter Ellen, age 2, and the "apple of his eye" Dacey, expected to arrive in July 2007.

Dave was abruptly taken from this world leaving behind his wife Celia; stepchildren Dylan, Ellen, and unborn daughter Dacey; mother, Kathy Heaton; grandmother, Phyllis Miller; uncle and aunt, Mark and Carolyn Miller; uncle, Joe T. Heaton; uncle and aunt, Mack and Marilyn Heaton; mother-in-law, Louisa Eckert sisters-in-law, Ginny Eckert and Rebecca Jacobsen; and numerous cousins and friends.

He will be joining his father, Chris Heaton; uncle, Kim Miller; grandfather, Wayne Miller; grandfather and grandmother, Mack and Elenore Heaton in eternal rest and peace. He will be in the hearts and memories of his loved ones forever!
