ETHEL J. BLOOM OBITUARY FROM THE CHANUTE TRIBUNE MAY 24, 1957 PG. 2
Mrs. Ethel J. Bloom, 59, 122 S. Forest died in the Neosho Memorial Hospital today. She had
been in failing health for the past year.
Mrs. Bloom was born June 10, 1897, at Burdick, and married Feb. 20, 1920, at Humboldt, to Axel T.
Bloom. He died in December, 1955. She moved to Chanute from Stark in 1945 and made her home here
with her daughter Hannah Bloom. She was a member of the United Brethren in Christ church of Chanute.
Surviving are two sons, George Bloom, Humboldt, Herbert Bloom, Chanute; two daughters, Hannah
Bloom, Chanute, and Mrs. Ralph Brooks, Erie: and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a
brother, Oscar Peterson in April, 1957.
The funeral arrangements are incomplete, to be announced later by Koch-Skinner Memorial Home.
