Esther was a well known Business owner in St. Louis she owned a Record store and ice cream parlor, She was a friend of Ike And Tina Turner long before they became famous. I got my first Dog from Esther a German Sheperd I named Lassie. she drove up to my Grandmother's house and handed me the puppy. as i was walking away she asked me what I was going to name the dog I said Butch she informed me that the dog was female so i said Lassie off the top of my head only to find out years later that all the Lassie's on the TV show were male ! I was 3 years old at the time I remember that day like it was yesterday. Esther was killed in an Automobile accident on her way to Chicago she was in a coma for several days a sad end for a very nice person.
