Born in LeFlore, Oklahoma. She married Martin E. Duncan on Dec. 28, 1926, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. They were married for 65 years when he preceded her in death in 1991. She died in Talihina, Oklahoma, at the age of 99.

She initially married Joseph Emmett Barrick around 1918. They then lived in Pauls Valley, Garvin County, and he was a mechanic. They had a son - Joseph Emmett Jr. on April 7, 1921. Joe E. Sr. died in 1921...exact date unknown. She must have moved back home after his death because the son grew up in LeFlore county and became a musician, and thats where she married Martin Duncan.
