Funeral for Mrs. Roquet

Mrs. Carrie Elsie Roquet passed away Monday (Sept 2) morning at her home in Fremont at the age of 84 years. The daughter of John and Addie C. Ritter Allman, she was born August 8, 1890 in Keokuk County and lived in this community all of her life.

Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Parris officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Township Cemetery.

On February 14, 1912 she was united in marriage with Walter Roquet in Keokuk County. He preceded her in death November 17, 1945.

She was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Jessie Circle and the Birthday Club. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Glen (Icel) Cornell of Ottumwa and Mrs. Harold (Gail) Hedlund of Packwood; ten grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and one brother, Fred Allman of Hedrick.
