Husband of Lucy. Father of Fred. He was an attorney prior to serving the Union Army in the United States Civil War. Company B, 7th Michigan Infantry. He died of typhoid fever while enlisted and serving in the war. GAR post 58 in Mason, Michigan was named in his honor.
