Mary's headstone is inscribed with a willow tree and the following words:
Polly Casey
Died in the Year
1845
Lived 93 years
The photo of Polly's headstone was taken by Susan Smith Christiansen, a seventh great granddaughter of Mary "Polly" (Wayne) Casey.
∼(Mary Elizabeth) 'Polly' Wayne was the wife of Aaron Casey, a soldier of the Revolutionary War, who died and is buried somewhere in Roane County, TN. Both paper and physical searches have been made, however, his exact burial location is currently unknown. While firm documentation does not exist, Polly was almost certainly a close relation of Gen. 'Mad Anthony' Wayne of Revolutionary War fame. Some say, first cousin, while others insist, a sister.
Maiden name added on 7 Aug 2014, per auto SAC.
