Violet A. West, 54, of Route 1, Rockport, was found dead Feb. 1, 1995, on Pond Creek Road, Rockport, of carbon monoxide poisoning from an apparent automobile exhaust system malfunction.
She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Lessie Randolph Bonnett. She was employed at Arlington Personal Care Center and previously worked for Winans at DuPont. She was a member of Ravenswood Aluminum Local 5668 Women's Support Group.
Surviving are her husband, William Paul West; four sons, Rodney West of Sandyville, Jeff West of Parkersburg, Anthony West and Kevin West, both of Rockport; two daughters, Judy Dragoo of Lubeck, and Paula West of Rockport; two brothers, George Bonnett of Vienna and Carroll Bonnett of Rockport; five sisters, Evelyn Church of Dade City, Fla., Irita Dillon of Sandyville, Janet Anderson of Jacksonville, N.C., Ilene Burke of Rockport and Patricia Taylor of Kokomo, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Ellen Bonnett.
Services 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, the Rev. Bill Anderson officiating. Burial Gates Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation 2-9 p.m. today.
