Mrs. John Molzahn of Munden passed away in a Belleville hospital Wednesday morning, June 20, following an extended illness. A short funeral service will be held at the home at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon, June 22, and the body will be taken to Gladstone, Neb., where services will be held at 3 o'clock. Burial will be made at Gladstone.

Augusta Louise Schoen was born February 14, 1882, in Jefferson county near Gladstone, Neb., and departed this life June 20, 1934, at the Patterson Memorial hospital in Belleville, Kan., at the age of 52 years, 4 months and 6 days.
She was christened when a small child and confirmed at the age of 13 in the Evangelical Zion church near Gladstone, Neb. She was a firm believer in her Savior and was ready to go at His call. She was a faithful member of the church while living where she could attend. She received much comfort and strength from the word of God and read her bible very often.
She grew to young womanhood in the Gladstone community and was united in holy matrimony to John F. Molzahn, also of Gladstone on January 16, 1901. To this union were born three sons, Charles, Richard and Arthur. After spending five years in the Gladstone community they moved to Chase county Nebraska and remained there seven years after which they moved to Republic county Kansas where she spent the remaining years of her life. She had suffered from failing health for several years and through it all she was a very patient sufferer. She was a loving wife and sacrificing mother and a very kind friend to all. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, John F. Molzahn, Munden, Kan., three sons, Charles of Munden, Richard of Endicott, Neb., and Arthur of Belleville, Kans.; three grandchildren; four brothers, Fred, William and Emil Schoen of Gladstone, Neb., and Gottlieb Schoen of Gurley, Neb., three sisters: Mrs. John Kapke of Gladstone, Neb., Mrs. Bert Miller, Lincoln, Neb., and and (sic) Mrs. Lena George, Fairbury, Neb., twenty-seven nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends.
Short funeral services were held at the home conducted by the Rev. Amos and the Rev. Jerry Rundus and further services were at Gladstone, Neb., conducted by the Rev. H. Henning. Interment was in the Gladstone cemetery.
