He was born July 15, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, a son of the late Dr. Walter and Violet Moehle.
He received a BS degree from Seton Hall University and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the sale and manufacturing of plastics.
Mr. Moehle was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, the Davy Crockett Car Club, and AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America). He was an avid model railroad collector; he loved to travel, collected, drove and restored classic Packard automobiles, and was advocate for dog/cat rescues.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years: Patricia Parrott Moehle; one son: Walter Moehle III; one daughter: Gretel Compton; granddaughters: Janeene Stankus and Amy Compton Klingborg; grandsons: James and Kenneth Compton; three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Catherine Moehle Smith; and daughter: Karen Moehle.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on October 23rd at St. James Episcopal Church with Rector Carolyn Isley officiating. A reception will follow the service where the Greene County Honor Guard will convey military honors.
