L. C. SIKES, 28, OF ACKERLY DIES

Big Spring – L. C. Sikes, 28, of Ackerly, died Wednesday morning at Abilene after a long illness.
Funeral will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in Ackerly First Baptist Church with the Rev. E. W. Duggins, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Ackerly Cemetery with Nally-Pickle Funeral Home in charge.
Born Nov. 26, 1937 at Ackerly, he attended school there.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Sikes of Ackerly; a brother, Wilson of Ackerly; a sister, Mrs. Erline Mashburn of Stanton, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jess Pylant, Vernon Shorten, Dolph Rasberry, Travis Russell, Travis McCarty and Jake Harry.
