William P. "Bill" Lambert, 69, of Highland Avenue, Princeton, died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born in Princeton on Aug. 3, 1937, he was the son of the late Lloyd Lafayette and Dora Paxton Lambert. He was the former owner of Contractor Service Inc. in Princeton, and was a member of Princeton Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Dotty" Glenn Pennington Lambert, one brother, Charles E. Lambert, and his aunt, Catherine Paxton. Survivors include four children, D. Lynn Legg and husband Robert of Cross Lanes, Jon Lambert and his wife Diane of Ashtabula, Ohio, Cathy Kerby and husband Dennis of Chesapeake, Va., and Kimberly Moody and husband Ona Moody Jr. of Farnham, Va.; grandchildren, Pamela, Vanessa and Roby Legg Jr., Kaitlin and Courtney Lambert, Eric Kerby, Jonathan and Bryant Moody; great grandchild, Christian Legg; brother, Robert L. Lambert and wife Barbara of North Kingsville, Ohio. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2007, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton with the Rev. Ed Pettus officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Courthouse Road in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
