Mrs. Douthit died early Saturday morning (Mar. 24, 1984) at Cartmell Home for the Aged.
She was born Aug, 21, 1892, in Saron, Trinity County, a daughter of the late John Calvin and Susan Ann Reed Miller.
She was a state approved Training Union organizer and teacher in the Baptist Church.
Her husband, Ben M. Douthit, died Sept. 21, 1978.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Betty Ann Fisher of Dallas, and Mary Bess Douthit of Chicago; daughter-in-law, Erma Jean Douthit of Dallas, and a nephew, Louis Miller of Palestine.
Pallbearers will be Seaburn Teems, Wayne Cato, Spence Canathan, R.L. Raines, Emmett Hendrick, and Chester Hendrick.
