Mrs. Janice Gandy, 72 of Browntown Road, Waynesville, GA passed away peacefully Sunday morning, June 24, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by parents; Bill White and Lula Mae Hope, stepfather; TC Hope, son; Billy Pryor, brother; Mitchell Dean White, sister; Donna Hope Lewis and niece; Crystal Simpson. Janice was retired from a career in retail sales and more recently as a paraprofessional working with special needs children. Survivors include her husband of 37 years; RL Gandy whom she married 2 May 1981 in Brunswick, GA, son; Charles F Smith (Jody), granddaughters; Madison Alicia Knight (Kenny Wood Jr) and Pegan Alexa Smith, great grandson; Kenny Wood III, all of Brunswick, sister; Lucy Hope Kern of Browntown Road. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 12 noon at Under His Wings Christian Fellowship Church on Browntown Road with Rev. Chad Middleton officiating.
