Claude Avery Frisbee was born Nov. 16, 1897 near the community of Winside in Wayne County, Nebraska. He spent his early life around Guide Rock and in the Lincoln area. He was a former resident of the Wabash community.

June 18, 1917, he enlisted in the United States Army, Battery C, 20th Field Artillery, with active service in France.

Early in the year, 1920, Claude traveled to California and thru the then rough country to Alaska. After a year's stay, he returned to the States and settled in Richmond, Ill.

Claude Frisbee became the Road Commissioner for Richmond Township in Illinois. He served in this capacity for 20 years.
