David Henry Fetterolf Sr., 85, of Llewellyn, passed away Saturday at home.

Born in Silverton, Dec. 21, 1932, he was a son of the late Irvin A. Fetterolf and Muriel Neidlinger Fetterolf Young.

He worked most of his life as a coal miner before retiring as a security guard from Selkerk Mining.

David served in the Army in the Korean War.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, darts and billiards.

He was a member of the Pine Grove VFW and Pine Grove Fish and Game.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Muriel Kienitz.

David is survived by his loving wife, Danielle Essler Fetterolf, to whom he was married 61 years; five children, David H. Fetterolf Jr., Seltzer, Jayne Fetterolf and her companion, John Chistikoff, Llewellyn, Theresa Hudson, New Hampshire, JoAnn Fetterolf and her companion, Dennis, Duncott, and Kim Fetterolf and her companion, Jim Tropp, Pottsville; six grandchildren, Travis Fetterolf, Michael Kachmar, Mariah Kachmar, Tony Carr, David Carr and Ian Buffington; a stepbrother, Leslie Young; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury St., Minersville. Burial with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
