Joseph Couzens, Boise, Succumbs
Joseph Couzens, 85, a pioneer Idaho resident, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday at his home, 414 Wilson street.
Mr. Couzens was born March 30, 1867, at Franklin, Idaho, and when a small child the family moved to Utah. In 1881 the family moved to the Boise valley, settling at Star. In 1900 the family moved to Ola and in 1942 moved to Boise.
Mr. Couzens was a member of the Ola Methodist church. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are three daughters, Ethel Couzens, Boise; Mrs. Lotus Cone, Bonners Ferry, and Mrs. Fern Furnham, Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Jerry M. Couzens, Boise, and William A. Couzens, La Grande, Ore., four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Summers chapel is in charge.
