Floran "Booster" Ballard, 85, of Carrollton, Ky., died Friday, April 13, 2007, at Green Valley Nursing Home in Carrollton, Ky.
He was born Dec. 18, 1921, in Worthville, Ky., the son of Charles Clayton and Lizzie Bell Ballard. He was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by one son, James Ballard; four daughters, Pam Mefford, Linda Bowman, Lisa Ballard and Cindy Ballard; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Dryden Ballard, and his parents.
The funeral was scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in Ghent Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation was Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral services were Monday, April 16, at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 213 Fifth St., Carrollton, with Pastor Miles Miller officiating. Burial was in Ghent Masonic Cemetery, Ghent, Ky.
Mr. Ballard was born Dec. 18, 1921, in Worthville, Ky., the son of the late Charles Clayton Ballard and Lizzie Bell.
He graduated from the 8th grade.
He married Norma Jean Dryden.
He was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include a son, James Ballard; four daughters, Pam Mefford, Linda Bowman, and Lisa and Cindy Ballard; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
Pallbearers were Bobby, Jerry and Corey Ballard, David Mefford, Phillip, Jason, Brian and Dennis Wallace.
