Mrs. Linton J. Brown
Dies at Warthen Home

WARTHEN, Ga., Dec. 20 -- Mrs. Linton J. Brown, 54, died at her residence here yesterday at 7 p.m. after an illness of 18 months.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Bethlehem Baptist church with the Rev. J.M. Branch, pastor of the Davisboro Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem cemetery.

Mrs. Brown was born June 13, 1895 in Oconee county, Ga., and was the former Miss Bertha Elizabeth Locklin. In 1920 she married Linton J. Brown.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd J. Skidmore Jr., of Albemarle, N.C.; three sons, Victor, Albert and Philip Brown, all of Warthen; one stepson, Lamar Brown of Warthen; three step-daughters, Mr. J.L. Sheppard of Oakley, S.C., Mrs. J.M. Rachels of Camak, Gas., and Miss Mary Brown of New York City; four brothers, T.E. Locklin of Waynesboro, C.S. Locklin of East Point, Ga., N.J. Locklin of Lagrange and S.H. Locklin Jr., of Atlanta; one sister, Miss Inez Locklin of Atlanta, three grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

Deacons of the church will as as pallbearers.
