Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Brays
Advent Christian Church near Iberia for William Guy Blankenship of Iberia. Mr. Blankenship, 57, died Thursday, July 17, 1969. He was born Oct. 6, 1911, near Iberia, the son of William Nathan and Laura Mae (Humphrey)Blankenship.

On Dec. 31, 1933 he was married at Tuscumbia to Mattie Ophelia Rowden who survives.

Mr. Blankenship had farmed near Iberia and worked at Fort
Leonard Wood.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Leroy and Dean of
Iberia; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Harrison of Washington, D.C.; one grandson; one brother, Osby Blankenship; and two sisters, Mrs. Venice Howser of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Vivian Maley of Iberia.

The Rev. Wilford David officiated at the funeral services
Saturday. Burial was in the Union Cemetery under the direction of Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia. Pallbearers were Leslie Maylee, Kenny Howser, Billie Humphrey, Earl W. Humphrey, Jackie Robertson, Dale Rowden, David Humphrey and Loren Humphrey.
