DE VERA, Serimoda Villamero, "Sarah", 1919 — 2007. She was born on March 15, 1919, in Cebu, Philippines. She was the eldest daughter of eleven children, born to Balbina and Hilario Villamero. Sarah was six months old when she and her family migrated to the island of Kaua'i. In 1932, she met and married the love of her life, Marcelo Castillo de Vera (deceased). They raised fourteen children and were married for 60 years. She was a woman of strong faith with a beautiful soul, who loved and cherished her family, friends and life. After fourteen years, Sarah is again reunited hand in hand with her beloved Marcelo. She is survived by three sisters, two brothers and her fourteen children, Frances, Virginia, Rosalinda, Marcelo, Jr., Jasmine, Joseph, Betty, Freddie, Dennis, Darrell, Bobby, Ronnie, Frankie and James. She was grandmother to 41 grandkids, 34 great and 6 great-great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2007, at Halley Olsen Murphy Mortuary in Lancaster, Calif. Funeral services to be held on at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2007, at the Lancaster Seventh Day Adventist Church at 43824 30th Street West in Lancaster.
