JEFFERSON D. ADKINS — Forty-seven years old, of 954 Monroe avenue, died early yesterday morning in a local hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Garnet Adkins; two sons, Blair and Gordon Adkins; a daughter, Mildred Adkins, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Venila Adkins; seven brothers, Charles Adkins of Shoals, W. Va., Albert Adkins of Wayne, B. E. and T. W. Adkins of Huntington, George Adkins of Proctorville, O., and Clarence and Elmer Adkins of Nye, W. Va., and five sisters, Mrs. Sarah Beaty of Toledo, O., Mrs. James Thacker of Shoals, Mrs. Hazel Abbott and Mrs. Catherine Burton of Nye, and Mrs. Gracie Hall of Costa, W. Va. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Jefferson Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. A. M. Barlow, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland cemetery.
