He was a member of the Markleville Masonic Lodge 44 F & A.M., Sottish Rite Valley f Indianapolis, Midwest Tool Collector Association, Missouri Valley Wrench Club, Buick Club of American and American Numismatist Association. He was active in the Indiana State Fair from 1977-1994 and was the antique judge for the fair from 1994 to 2004. He is survived by his mother Anna (Damon) Pottorff, wife of 21 years, Dianna (Markle)Pottorff; daughter Anita and husband Andy Marsh of Anderson; son, Robert Alan Pottoff of Markleville; stepdaughters, Amy and husband Brandon Blackwell of Shirley, and Anessa and husband Chris Conley of Anderson; sister, Ruth and husband Raymond Seal;grandchildren, Lauren Marsh, Christopher Marsh and Daniel Pittman; mother-in-law Christina Markle of Markleville; sister-in-law Sharon Pottorff of Indianapolis, seven stepgrandchildren; a niece and two nephews; and special loved dog, Magnun.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Pottorff, in October 2003. His father Robert Paul Pottorff Sr has since passed.
