Mr. Cox died March 20, 2007, in a Terrell nursing home.
He was born Sept. 18, 1913, in Athens to the late Norman Joshua Cox and Mary Janette Horn. He retired as a terminal manager from Central Freight Lines in the Dallas area after 30 years. He was a Methodist, and was preceded in death by his wife, Annell Cox, in 1993 and 11 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include son, Al Cox, Terrell; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
