Freeman Biggs was a son of Roy Biggs and Hazel Irene Brandenburg Biggs. He married Mildred Hawker in 1951. She survives.

Also survived by two daughters, Marietta Jo "Jody" Biggs and Patricia Sharp,a sister, Billie JoAnn Owen and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Mr. Biggs had retired as an operating engineer for local 841 of Terre Haute, Ind., where he was a bulldozer operator for over 50 years. He was a charter member of the Hazel Del American Legion Post 1230.

He was an Army World War II veteran.
