RUSS, Goldie L., January 22, 1928 to March 15, 2007. Grew up in Virginia and came to the Antelope Valley with Louis Russ to live and raise their children 47 years ago. Preceded in death by Louie in 1986, Goldie was good and kind to all who knew her. She was always giving, never selfish. After a long battle with illness and pain, and many prayers, she went to be with the Lord. Goldie is survived by her daughter, Susan Caffey and son-in-law, Bob, her sons, Glenn Russ and Patrick Russ, step-son Thom, grandchildren Robert, Liz, and Patrick Caffey, Angela, Sara, Jeffrey, Christine and Michelle Russ, and Travis and Kelly Ann Russ, Stephanie and Jennifer Russ, and many wonderful great-grandchildren who knew her house as a warm and welcome place Grandma Goldie, Mom, you will be missed more than words can say. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2007, with a funeral service at 1 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2007, both at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals & Cremations, Palmdale, Calif. Interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Palmdale.
