Mr. McCawley died July 4,2005, at his residence. He was born May 3, 1932, in Seminole, Okla. He grew up in
Sallisaw, Okla., where he graduated from Central High School.
He received a B.A. in business from McMurry College in Abilene. He moved to Van in 1979. He served in the U.S. Air Force . He workedfor the Federal Government in Health & Human Services as a statistician.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Ernest and Rosa Clementine Moon McCawley.
Survivors include his wife, Berniece McCawley, Van; sons, Perry McCawley and Tim W. McCawley, both of Van, and Darren W. McCawley, Brownsboro; brother, Samuel Eugene McCawley, Sallisaw; sisters, Mabel Swinney, Tulsa,Okla., and Wilma Brown, Grants Pass, Ore.; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Dwayne Lynch, David Hamilton, Christopher McCawley, Brian McCawley, Scott McCawley and John T. McCawley.
