James “Boy” Travis 69 of providence passed away September 22, 2017 in Madisonville. He is the son of the late Henry V. Travis & Laura Lee (Hammond) Tosh. He is also preceded in death by William “Sonny” Travis, Martha Jameson, Rebecca “Sissy” Miller, Ormand Lee Tosh, & Infant Henry V. Travis Jr. He is survived by his wife Joyce Travis, sons Johnny Travis (Tonya), James “Bubby” Travis, daughter Shelley Travis Laneve (Randy), Sisters Mary “Tom” Wyatt & Betty Atkins, Grandchildren Travis Laneve, Abigal Travis, Olivia Travis, John Kendrick Travis, Josie Beth Laneve, & Ethan Travis. Visitation will be from 9 am to 2 pm on Tuesday in the chapel at Jones Kirby Funeral Home with Bro. Johnnie Davis officiating the service at 2pm with burial to follow in Green Grove Cemetery. Jones Kirby Funeral home are in charge of arrangements.
