Marlow - FRANCES MAE JONES SLOAN, 91, of Marlow, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, in Marlow Manor Nursing Home.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Duncan City Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Marine officiating. Interment will be under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
She was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Duncan, to Clyde Washington and Ola Mae McGarr Jones. She was a Gatlin High School graduate. She married Laymon Sloan, and he preceded her in death Nov. 11, 1994.
She was a homemaker, an avid reader and enjoyed sewing. She also enjoyed Scrabble and crossword puzzles.
Frances was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Sloan of Duncan; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tom Sloan M.D.; a daughter, Carolyn Sloan; a sister, Mary Marine; and a brother, Howard Jones.
