American Actor. Hodge, who was best known for his recurring roles on 'Law & Order' and 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit', was later elected twice as president of SAG-AFTRA’s New York chapter. He made his television debut in 1995 on the ABC daytime soap opera 'Loving' playing a police officer, a career he portrayed on film and television numerous times. Among other TV shows and made-for-TV-movies he appeared in were 'George Washington', 'Perfect Witness', 'Ghost Writer', 'NYPD Blue', 'Cosby', 'Ed', 'As the World Turns' and 'Blind Spot'. His film career included 'Forever, Lulu, (1987), 'Blue Steel' (1989), 'The Bonfire of the Vanities' (1990), 'Malcolm X' (1992), 'To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar' (1995), 'The Mirror Has Two fades' (1996), 'Mambo Cafe' (2000), 'The Kings of Brooklyn' (2004), 'Cadillac Records' (2008) and 'Adam' (2009). He was a union activist for many years and secured a SAG national board seat in 2000. A decade later, he was elected president of the union’s local New York chapter and secured an additional two-year term in August 2017. Hodge, whose last appearance on camera was in the comedy, 'Humor Me', which was in post-production at the time of his death, died of natural causes.
